They are currently seeking a Senior Sales Director of Cosmetics Packaging to drive business growth and maintain strong customer relationships in the New York City metropolitan area. This role requires a blend of account management and new business development skills, with a focus on generating revenue and exceeding sales targets.

Expect a balanced workweek: three days in the field connecting with clients and prospects, and two days at the corporate office. As a direct report to the President, you’ll enjoy a high degree of autonomy and the support of an experienced inside sales team. Success in this role requires a self-starter attitude and a positive outlook.

The Role:
As a Senior Sales Director, you will play a pivotal role in driving business growth and strengthening customer relationships. You will be responsible for:

  • New Business Development: Actively seek and identify new business opportunities within the cosmetics and beauty industry, particularly in the New York City metropolitan area.
  • Account Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing key accounts, ensuring customer satisfaction and maximizing revenue potential.
  • Sales Strategy: Develop and execute effective sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and exceed expectations.
  • Market Analysis: Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify emerging opportunities.
  • Product Knowledge: Gain deep knowledge of the company’s product offerings and effectively communicate their value proposition to customers.
  • Customer Education: Educate customers on new products, innovative solutions, and industry best practices.
  • Sales Process: Manage the entire sales process, from lead generation to closing deals.
  • Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience in sales within the cosmetics and/or personal care plastic packaging industry.
  • Proven track record of success in generating new business and managing key accounts.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to travel as needed, primarily within the New York City metropolitan area.
