Due to strong and consistent growth, this well-known contract manufacturer of hair care, personal care, cosmetics, and skincare products is looking for an experienced Director of Quality to aid in their continued expansion. This critical position reports to the Chief Operating Officer and will be charged with departmental restructuring to better accommodate the ongoing growth of the organization and the quality department. In the role of Director of Quality, you will lead a team of 10+ quality professionals and interface with both internal and external clients to deliver high-quality products in a timely and cost-effective manner.
This fast-growing leader (in fact, one of the fastest growing in all of Utah last year) has had much recent market success and are just completing expansion of their facilities through significant factory investments. Turnover has been at an astoundingly low 2% over the past five years as employees sense the future is brighter than ever. They are an organization on the move! All they lack is an experienced leader skilled in area of Quality Control and Quality Assurance to help accommodate the increased demand for their innovative products while maintaining high production standards of quality.
Candidates who meet the following criteria are encouraged to apply:
- BS in Quality Management, Process Engineering or a related field
- 5-15+ years of experience in quality assurance/quality control in the manufacturing of at least one of the following: cosmetics, personal care, hair care, skincare, OTC, or food
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing others
- Ability to work effectively with other department heads to complete mission-critical tasks
- Familiarity with process improvement techniques, analysis, and project management
- Working familiarity with the manufacturing of FDA-regulated products
- Strong communication skills
- Performance-driven self-starter
