Our client, a large provider of manufacturing solutions for the cosmetics and personal care industry, is seeking an experienced Director of Client Services to lead it’s customer service department. The Director of Client Services leads a team to provide exceptional service to established customers. This role requires collaboration with internal teams (Commercial, Marketing, R&D, Quality Control, Production, and Warehouse) to ensure smooth order processing and resolution of any customer issues. The Director also oversees Client Service Managers and supports site-level Project Managers to maintain high standards of service.

Finally, in this role you will be called upon to both use your problem solving skills and your people skills to lead your team in addressing any client concerns in the manufacturing process. Identifying delays and roadblocks along with meeting client objectives and quality targets are key to success in this role.

Job Duties

  • Lead and manage a team of 10 client service managers, ensuring high-quality service for key accounts
  • Collaborate with internal teams (Commercial, R&D, Supply Chain) to resolve customer issues and ensure smooth order processing
  • Develop and implement service standards to enhance customer satisfaction and reduce response times
  • Monitor and report on KPIs (e.g., OTIF, inventory, root cause analysis)
  • Handle escalated customer issues and drive continuous process improvements
  • Ensure billing accuracy and coordinate with accounts receivable

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field
  • 7+ years of experience in Client Services, ideally in consumer products or FDA-regulated industries
  • Supervisory experience and proficiency in ERP systems
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
