Reporting to the Global Director of Design, this position within the Marketing & Creative Department is responsible for product development of new cosmetics and is a key component to the company’s continued success. Bring your passion for cosmetics and love of social media and fashion trends to use in a role that requires creativity and consumer insights.

Job Duties:

  • Create makeup kits around new and trending design themes including answering all the questions around what goes into it the creation and development of the kits.
  • Develop shades, formulas, palettes, and names for products (with market research or customer input).
  • Interact with our internal purchasing/sourcing teams in the US and Hong Kong to identify and acquire needed pieces for kits.
  • Maintain and regulate timelines for projects, including compliancy records of product development process.
  • Renew and update old makeup kits to include yearly packaging updates and color substitutions.
  • Collaborate with internal and external graphics team and with dedicated makeup project manager to conceive of and execute kit designs.
  • Collaborate with in-house photo studio on makeup design for packaging.

Requirements:

  • 2-4 years of directly related experience in product development/project management of color cosmetics/makeup.
  • Possess a passion for cosmetics involving trend analysis of social media and retailers like ULTA and Sephora.
  • Design-driven approach to problem solving and makeup kit creation.
  • Strong communication skills and able to collaborate with others internally.
  • Self-starter approach to work/possess initiative.
  • Proficient in Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator.
  • Knowledge of package design and mockup.
