Because of strong and consistent growth, this well-known consumer care product leader is looking for an experienced suncare/sunscreen formulator to expand their quality suncare product lines. They are a well-recognized name in the over-the-counter (OTC) marketplace with a variety of best-selling products on the market. Innovation in this area of their business has made them a leader and they are seeking a senior scientist with strong bench skills in suncare/sunscreen and skincare to help grow this segment even more in the next 5 years.

This position will be responsible for identifying and testing potential formulations and working with other departments to meet the needs of internal customers like Marketing, Claims Support and Analytics all while working to satisfy the needs of the consumer. The ability to lead teams in a matrix environment including key vendors is critical though this position is part of a research career path and as such does not require the management of personnel but rather of processes and the development of products.

Candidates who meet the following criteria are encouraged to apply:

• Bachelor’s Degree and ten (10) or more years of experience

OR

• Master’s Degree and six (6) or more years of experience

OR

• PhD with postdoctoral work or four (4) or more years of experience
• Experience working on suncare/sunscreen products including those with high SPF’s, water resistant properties and spray technology (aerosols and BOV)
• Proven track record of leading the successful new product launches innovative consumer products
• Authorization to work indefinitely in the U.S. on a regular, full-time basis
