Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Blending (or Supervisor of Blending) to oversee our client firm’s blending operations. In this critical role, you will be responsible for optimizing blending processes, ensuring product quality, and driving operational excellence, and managing teams of blending technicians across multiple shifts.

Key Responsibilities:
Blending Plan Management: Develop and execute comprehensive blending plans to meet customer demands and optimize resource utilization.
Tank Farm Management: Oversee the efficient management of the tank farm, ensuring accurate inventory control and timely material replenishment.
Formula Scale-Up: Lead the successful scale-up of developed formulas from lab to production, minimizing variability and maximizing yield.
Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve blending processes, reduce costs, and enhance product quality.
Quality Assurance: Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to ensure strict adherence to quality standards and regulatory compliance.
Team Leadership: Mentor and develop the Wet Process Tech/Blending team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and high performance.
Customer Collaboration: Work closely with customers to validate systems and processes, addressing their specific needs and expectations.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, including FDA and EPA standards.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Business Management, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in plant/operations/manufacturing, preferably in the non-woven converting or related industry.
Proven experience with analytical instruments such as HPLC and GC.
Strong understanding of Six Sigma principles and lean manufacturing techniques.
In-depth knowledge of organic chemistry.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
